Ida obtained her bachelor degree in Genetics and Experimental Biology on the University of Wroclaw, Poland, where she prepared the thesis about yeast model of Parkinson’s disease. Then she continued with master studies on the same major. In 2020 Ida gained her master degree with a dissertation concerning the ubiquitin ligase adaptors. Ida did several internships: in Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy in Wroclaw, Poland, in Max Planck Institute of Molecular Plant Physiology in Potsdam, Germany and the latest graduate internship in Lund University in Sweden. Now she started as SmartAge ESR4 with the PhD project "Age-dependent gut-brain interactions in mice: modulation by physical activity" in the working group of Dr. Christiane Frahm at the UKJ.
In her free time she enjoys reading non-fiction books, spending time in nature, playing board games, meeting with friends, cooking and exploring new tastes and meals or just spending time with her adopted animals: two black cats, three guinea pigs and two African snails.
Tannaz received her bachelor degree in Information Technology from Amir Kabir University of Technology (Tehran Polytechnic) before she did her master's degree in Information Technology Engineering - Computer Networks, Bioinformatics and AI Lab at Sharif University of Technology, Iran. The topic of her Master thesis was " Identification of Beta cell cycle regulators using machine learning methods (regression and regularization)". In addition to her research experience, Tannaz was also able to gain initial teaching and professional experience - for example she worked as teaching assistant and as Data Scientist at Alibaba Travels Co. or Programmer. At the beginning of May, Tannaz started as SmartAge ESR11 her PhD project "Changes in individual BrainAGE score and brain plasticity induced by physical activity" in Professor Gaser's research group at the UKJ.
