The Department of Infectious Medicine comprises the hospital-wide consultation service, infection rounds in the intensive care units as well as the infectious disease outpatient clinic and vaccination consultation hours. Inpatient care of infectious disease patients is provided in cooperation with the respective specialist department.
The outpatient clinic offers care for special infectious diseases (including HIV infection, tuberculosis and schistosomiasis) and the travel medicine consultations, including yellow fever vaccination.
