The complex formation of c-Kit and the IL-33R and its influence on SCF- and IL-33-induced mast cell effector functions

We found that SCF induces formation of the c-Kit/IL-33R complex. We hypothesize that the unligated IL-33R acts as an adaptor molecule for c-Kit which is required for the assembly of the c-Kit/Lyn complex. Thus the unligated IL-33R establishes the basis for activated c-Kit to mediate SCF-induced and Lyn-dependent signalling pathways and effector functions in mast cells. Therefore we want to investigate the structural basis for the interaction of between c-Kit the IL-33R and Lyn and its influence mast cell-dependent allergic reactions.
