In Germany, a considerably rate of second-choice antibiotics is prescribed for uncomplicated urinary tract infections (UTIs) in outpatient care. RedAres aims to promote guideline-based therapy for uncomplicated UTIs with a multimodal intervention in GP practices, involving
- current antibiotic resistance data on the uncomplicated UTI (RKI),
- guideline-based information material and
- individual prescription feedback including benchmarking of the intervention practices.
The study will be evaluated by formative process analyses.

In nursing homes, emergencies lead to frequent emergency department visits and hospital admissions, frequently classified as potentially preventable. Residents' needs and wishes often remain unaddressed. In NOVELLE, recommendations for emergency situations in nursing homes are developed interprofessionally, to optimize care management, to strengthen the residents' will, and to increase legal certainty for nursing professionals.

Central institute for statutory health care in Germany, 2020- 2022
The aim of the planned project is to compare the utilisation of health care services (outpatient medical services, including preventive medical services, outpatient surgery, outpatient care in the emergency room and services provided by authorized hospital physicians, as well as drugs prescribed on an outpatient basis) by physicians with statutory health insurance and the general population with statutory health insurance. Morbidity profile, sociodemographic and job-related characteristics are taken into account.
