JEMID offers two different medical didactic trainings and coaching
- "Startbolus Lehre" in English - an introductory course in medical didactics - open to all teaching staff and obligatory to all new staff who might teach (equivalent of the German Course "Startbolus Lehre")
Target group: Beginners in Medical Education. This course should be attended before teaching at our faculty
Content: Effective learning factors, Didactic concepts (e.g. learning objectives, Bloom's taxonomy, course planning ‘A PIPE’, constructive alignment, Peyton method, feedback), Teaching & organisational structures, (e.g. contact persons, DOSIS)
Duration: Day Workshop with a short assignment
Frequence of offer: Once a year
Registration: DOSIS
Prerequisite: none - Plenary Didactis (equivalent of the German Course "Plenardidaktik und kollegiales Feedback")
Target group: This training course is aimed at all teaching staff - both health profession experts and scientists - who want to obtain feedback on their lecture through peer feedback in the protected setting of the event (max. 6 participants)
Content: Plenary sessions (‘sandwich principle’, 'A PIPE'), introductory phases, interaction phases, slide design, presentation techniques, eye contact, behaviour in the room, disruptions in courses, collegial feedback (‘PED-Approach’), reflection on own courses, teaching observation, course evaluation
Duration: 24 Working Units: 2 workshop days, (pre- middle- and post-) assignment

Prerequisite: Startbolus Lehre desired
Helpful for "Habilitation" (state doctorate): In this course you receive and get feedback from peers - it can also be used for your habilitation process. You get an overview of accepted evaluations of your teaching sessions which you need for your habilitation.
