Although lectures of the winter term 2019/2020 start on October 14th, additional activities are planned for the first two weeks of October to give you the best start possible for your studies.

Introduction / Orientation meeting

On October 1st, we will organize a small kick-off meeting, which will give you the possibility to get important information about the M.Sc. programme, to visit important places and to meet your fellow students.

Time: October 1st, 10:00 a.m.

Location: Lecture hall “Humangenetik”, Kollegiengasse 10, 07743 Jena.

To access the lecture hall enter the historic courtyard of the Theoretical Insitutes (see the map below).

To access the lecture hall in the building of the former institute of human genetics enter the historic courtyard (red arrow).

Pre-Course "Mathematical Methods"

To start the M.Sc. programme successfully, basic knowledge in mathematics is important. To provide you with the necessary basics an optional pre-course in mathematics starts on October 2nd, 2019. Information about the content of the course can be found in the module catalogue.

Time: daily from October 2nd to October 11th, 9.00 a.m.
Location: August-Bebel-Str. 4; seminar room SR 020.

Pre-Course "Chemistry"

To have a good start in the M.Sc. programme, also basic knowledge in chemistry is important. To provide you with the necessary basics an optional pre-course in chemistry starts, parallel to the pre-course in mathematics on October 2nd, 2019.

Time: daily from October 2nd to October 11th, 9.30 a.m.
Location: Lecture hall “Humangenetik”, Kollegiengasse 10, 07743 Jena (see the map shown above).
