Module P0 - Scientific Skills
Coordinator
Prof. Dr. Christoph Biskup
Lecturers
- Biomolecular Photonics Group: Prof. Dr. Christoph Biskup, Dr. Birgit Hoffmann
Content
Working in science requires not only knowledge, but also a broad range of scientific skills. The Scientific Skills modules are designed to provide you with practical competencies that are essential for a successful career in research. This module continues the series that began in the winter term, where the focus was on finding, evaluating, and creating scientific information. In this module, the emphasis shifts toward additional skills that you may find valuable as a scientist.
- Make it stick! How can I learn effectively?
- Some more physiology applied to your daily life: the circadian rhythm, sleep, stress
- Time and project management: How can I balance multiple resposibilities and tasks? How can I keep deadlines and manage long-term projects? How can I maintain productivity?
- Job applications: How can I find a job I can apply for? How should a cover letter for a job application look like? What should be included in my CV? How should I prepare myself for a job interview? How can I stand out in a job interview? How do I handle communications after an interview?
