Outpatient treatment
Whether outpatient care in our outpatient clinics, polyclinics and the Center for Outpatient Medicine or day-care or outpatient therapy in our day clinics: Not every patient has to stay in the hospital overnight.

Centre for outpatient medicine
At the Centre for Outpatient Medicine at Jena University Hospital, doctors from various specialist groups and specialisms treat patients hand in hand.
Registration
Please report directly to the rooms of the respective outpatient clinics at the agreed time. Before your treatment can begin, some admission formalities are necessary. The clinic team will therefore record your personal details. You should always bring
- Electronic health card
- Referral slip from your general practitioner
Emergency examinations are possible at any time without prior appointment - even on Sundays and public holidays or at night.
Please understand that urgent emergencies must be brought forward. For this reason, there may be longer waiting times despite appointments being made. As patients receive different examinations, the order in which they are called does not always correspond to the order in which they register at reception.
Overnight accommodation for patients, relatives and guests
Do you need accommodation in Jena for your visit? Then the UKJ offers you a good solution. It has rented a total of seven so-called service apartments at Ziegesarstraße 13 and 15 for this purpose, which you can find out more about under Apartments for patients, relatives and guests (German).
