Verena Vogt has been Professor of Quantitative Health Services Research with a focus on primary care and statutory health insurance claims data at Jena University Hospital since 2023. She heads the research unit “Quantitative Health Services Research” at the Institute of General Practice and Family Medicine and serves as Co-Speaker of the Center for Health Services Research at Jena University Hospital.
Prior to her current position, Verena held the junior professorship for Health Services Research and Quality Management in the Outpatient Sector at the Technical University of Berlin from 2020 to 2023. In 2017, she received her doctorate (Dr. Public Health) with distinction from the Technical University of Berlin and subsequently spent a research year at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy and Economics at the University of Sydney. She studied Health Communication (BSc) and Public Health (MSc) at Bielefeld University and the University of Sheffield. In addition, she serves as a Section Editor for the journal “Zeitschrift für Evidenz, Fortbildung und Qualität im Gesundheitswesen” (ZEFQ).
