The Jena University Hospital fosters the next generation of researchers. It supports young physicians and scientists with its funding program in the Interdisciplinary Center for Clinical Research. In the frame of the Graduate Academy at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena, the School of Medicine offers interdisciplinary graduate programs. |

Research year |
Physicians are released from all duties in patient care for a year in order to enable them concentrating on research |

Junior projects |
Junior scientists are supported in developing their research topics to the application for Third-party funds |

Promotion scholarships |
Medical students can concentrate on their dissertation for six or twelve months |
| Bridging finance | Qualified academic staff can continue their activities through this funding in the period leading up to the start of a licensed third-party project |
